  • Total Time: 0 hours
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 pound raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic granules
  • 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Place shrimp into a medium bowl, sprinkle shrimp with seasonings, and stir to mix.
  2. Place a large skillet over medium heat, pour the oil into the pan, and heat the oil.
  3. Add the shrimp to the hot oil, tossing it to cook evenly for 3 to 4 minutes or when it becomes pink.
  4. Serve as is, or use the cooked shrimp in recipes that call for pre-cooked shrimp, toss with pasta, or into salads.

Notes

  • Recipe easily doubles for larger crowds and prepping for other recipes.
  • Before cooking, pass your fingers through the shrimp to ensure they are free of shells and black veins, rinse in cool water, drain, and pat dry with a paper towel.
  • Don't overcook the shrimp, or they will become tough and dry.
