Cake
- 1 15.25-ounce box yellow cake mix
- 1 3.4-ounce box banana cream instant pudding mix
- 1 cup water
- 2/3 cup mayonnaise
- 3 whole eggs
Filling
- 3 bananas
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
Frosting
- 1 box Betty Crocker Home Style Fluffy White Frosting Mix
- 1/2 cup boiling water
Garnish
- 1 cup crushed vanilla wafers
Instructions
Cake
- Preheat oven to 350°, prepare a 9x13 cake pan with spray oil and flour.
- Combine the cake mix, pudding mix, mayonnaise, and water into a large bowl; mix together, adding 1 egg at a time.
- Beat for 2 minutes.
- Pour batter into the cake pan and bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the middle of the cake comes out clean.
- Allow cake to thoroughly cool before spreading on the filling and frosting.
Filling
- Peel bananas and mash them with a fork in a medium-sized bowl.
- Mix in sugar.
- Spread filling over cooled cake.
Frosting
- Empty the mix into a large bowl, pour boiling water into the bowl and mix on high to get stiff peaks formed; that will take 5-7 minutes while scraping the bowl every couple of minutes.
- Spread frosting over the filling, covering the cake completely.
Garnish
Sprinkle cake with crushed vanilla wafers and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

- Store cake covered in the refrigerator.
- Slice the cake in half to make a two-layer cake, spread filling on one half, and top with the other layer before frosting.
